A mother sat by her child's hospital bed as doctors declared him brain dead.

Amanda Bonfitto watched her beautiful four-and-a-half year old son Harrison, trying to process. How could this happen? Why was this happening?

It was then, in the midst of this dense fog while attempting to make sense of something which could only seem totally nonsensical that Amanda recalled a conversation. Just a few days earlier Harrison said he was going to stop breathing and die.

Four days later, it was the week of Thanksgiving in America, and Harrison unexpectedly and suddenly choked. There was a logical medical explanation for this untimely death.  But how could the dramatic impact of losing her child begin to make any sense?  How will life carry on? Is there really life after Harrison?

In this powerful episode, I am joined by Amanda and I believe Harrison's energy is present, in this fragile exploration of Amanda's story that is filled with her incredible strength, vulnerability and resilience.

Amanda shares her life journey by walking listeners through and reflecting on her experiences while carefully unfolding her personal learning and self discovery leading to her 'spiritual awakening.'

She says: "It has been a beautiful and hard journey into the light. I still feel like I am mostly standing in the doorway now, learning how to care for myself and scanning the room of spirituality, with one foot ready to step, deciding where to step first."

Amanda plans to launch her own podcast titled This Won't Break Youand is inviting listeners to contact her directly at:thiswontbreakyou@gmail.com if you have a story to share.
